Kathmandu Valley is comprised of the three ancient cities: Kathmandu,
Patan and Bhaktapur as well as small mountain villages on the outskirts
of the valley such as Nagarkot and Dhulikhel. Pokhara is an idyllic town,
125 miles west of Kathmandu surrounding Phewa Lake at the base of the
Annapurna and Dhauligiri range. Pokhara is a popular starting point for
many treks, however, it also offers the best mountain scenery in Nepal
for those who don't want to trek. Royal Chitwan National Park offers elephant,
boat and walking jungle safaris to view wildlife. One can drive (5 hrs)
or fly (11/2 hrs) from Kathmandu or Pokhara.
The following are a few sample itineraries covering most travelers' basic
interests. You may book these as is or modify them. Choose your own dates
and travel within the privacy of your own group or travel solo!
