Five Days

Delhi-Kathmandu - Day 1
Fly Delhi-Kathmandu Dep Delhi 10:45 am, Arr KTM 12:30 Transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit Durbar Square and Swyambhunath Stupa, one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal. (another option is to fly Agra-Khajuraho-Varanasi-Kathmandu--not included in price quote below; please request quote)

Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur - Day 2-3
Visit the three fabled cities: Kathmandu, Patan, and Bhaktapur, and the important temples. In Kathmandu: Pashupatinath Temple is the most sacred Hindu shrine in the world; dated prior to 400 AD, devotees can be seen taking ritual dips in the holy Bagmati river flowing beside the temple; Changu Narayan Temple, dedicated to the god Bishnu, is one of the oldest specimens of pagoda architechture embellished with equisite wood and stone carvings; Bodhnath Stupa is the largest stupa; Bhairab and Taleju temples, and Kumari Devi. In Patan: Kwa Bahal, a Buddhist monastery dating back to 12th century; Mahabouddha, 14th century Buddhist monument; Uku Bahal, best known place of worship in Patan. In Bhaktapur: Nyatapola Temple, Dattatreya Square containing the Dattatreya Temple with a 3 headed combination of Hindu deities Brahma, Bishnu & Shiva; various ornate Hindu monasteries known as Math--including the 15th century Pujari Math, the most famous, which has the finest wood carvings and the celebrated Peacock Window.

Dakshinkali temple - Day 4
Day trip to visit the Dakshinkali temple-this excursion takes about 4 hours roundtrip. The drive is about 13 kms. En-route you will visit one of the typical Newar villages - Kirtipur. In the Dakshinkali temple every Tuesday and Saturday the local people give offerings of live animals - hen, goats and buffaloes.

Dhulikhel - Day 5
Drive to Dhulikhel (1 hr outside Kathmandu). This small village is interesting because it is authentic--not a tourist attraction. There are a number of temples to visit including the Harisiddhi Temple, Vishnu Temple, Krishna Temple, Bhagwati Shiva temple, a smaller Shiva temple at the bottom of a gorge and for a spectacular view--Kali Temple high up the hill. Over night at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort.

Home Day 6 Relax at the lodge in the morning and enjoy the mountain beauty. Check out by 12 noon. Fly back to Delhi to fly home or fly home directly fom KTM (dpends on your international ticket)

Chitwan National Park - Day 6-7 (4 hr drive 1 way)
Morning drive to Meghudi to visit Chitwan National Park. Wildlife here includes rhinoceros, wild boar, freshwater dolphins, crocodiles, leopards, the Bengal Tiger, and over 450 species of birds.  Jungle Activities i.e. Birds Watching, Elephant ride, boat ride,  jungle walk and  folk dances. Chitwan Jungle Lodge or Machan wildlife Resort

Pokhara - Day 8
Morning drive to Pokhara 4 hrs (or can fly $65)

Pokhara - Day 9
Iindependent activities: day hike, boat ride and/or relax by lake

Fly Pokhara-Kathmandu - Day 10
Depart Kathmandu 13:55

Includes:

• 5 night hotel accomodations, dble occ in Kathmandu
• 2 night hotel accomodations, dble occ in Pokhara
• 4 full days& one half day sightseeing with guide in KTM Valley
• All land transportation by private car
• 2 night hotel accomodations, dble occ at wildlife resort + all activities and Meals

Does Not Include:

• Flight ticket Delhi - Kathmandu
• Meals while you are in Kathmandu and Pokhara
• Personal Expenses such as telephone calls, laundry, tips

Nepal Highlights: Additional Option

After visiting Changu Narayan, on Day 4 of either itinerary above, instead of returnng to Kathmandu, drive to Nagorkot (30-45 min) passing thru typical Newari settlements and panoramic views. Overnight .

Day 5 From Nagarkot trek to Dhulikhel (5 hrs). Over night at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort

Day 6 Drive (1 hr) back to Kathmandu. Continue with day 6 on either itinerary.
